Mission 1114: Strengthening Parent-Tween Relationships
Earlier this month, we partnered Focus on the Family to raise funds for underprivileged families and roll-out Mission 1114, a fun-filled-full-day activity where parents and their tweens (between 11 and 14 years old) pair up as “secret agents” and go on a mission to save the world!
Guided by a blend of physical and virtual tools in the mission kit and on the gameplay microsite, the parent-tween pairs had to complete a series of puzzles, move out for lunch and assemble back on Zoom to ensure the entire mission was completed according to the rules.
At the end of the event, each one had a postcard to write their memories down and thank each one another. The mission activities gave the pairs numerous opportunities to have fun together, build deeper connections and share unforgettable memories between themselves.
There were many positive testimonies that came in….. and as we say in Soulrich, “Mission Accomplished!”
Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who gave to this event to support strong families. Raising over SGD12,000 for this event, every SGD50 supported one parent-child pair from an underprivileged family to take part in this meaningful activity and all donations qualified for a 250% tax rebate.

Here’s a fun fact that happened during the event: our co-founders Mario and Shalyn couldn’t physically take part in the event because both of them came down with Covid at the same time.
Which also meant their kids (Chantelle and Elliot) had to stay home and solve the clues virtually :p
Following the success of the event, we were pleasantly surprised to receive the “Champions For Family 2022” award from Focus on the Family. Both Mario and Shalyn were onsite to receive the award from the good people at Focus on the Family after they fully bounced back from Covid.
It was a real joy for us to work closely with Focus on the Family for this event. Shout-out to Vanessa, Martin, Percy and Wai Hoong who brainstormed on many aspects of the event together with us. You have a great team Joanna!
